Mikuláš Černohlávek, an FME student, received a brilliant second place in the Contipro Award. He was awarded for his diploma thesis on the topic of biotribology of artificial tears for the treatment of dry eye syndrome.
"Mikuláš Černohlávek was on two internships at Contipro. He proved to be a very skillful and independent student and was praised in the company as well. He made it into the top eight at the Contipro Prize and on Wednesday, June 30, presented his work to experts in the field of biochemistry. I am very happy not only with the award but also with the fact that he decided to continue his doctoral studies with us, "says Martin Vrbka, leader of the Biotrybology Research Group.
Mikuláš Černohlávek participated in a research project whose goal is to develop new material for artificial tears from hyaluronic acid and thus relieve patients with dry eye syndrome (we wrote about the research here). The company awarded four students in the Contipro Awards, who received a financial reward as well as valuable feedback from an expert jury.
