Six guests from universities from three sister cities came to Brno for a workshop entitled "Teaching interdisciplinary specializations & materials science and technology at technical universities". Thursday's workshop organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was part of the three-day event Sister Cities Day event organized by the City of Brno.

Vít Jan and Václav Pouchlý from the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering organized the workshop program at FME. The afternoon program also brought the guests to the laboratories of electron beam and cold spray technology at FME and also to CEITEC BUT, where they visited the laboratories of advanced ceramic materials.
