The marigold flowers, a symbol of the nationwide Czech Day Against Cancer charity, raised a total of CZK 7,925 at FME. The donations go to the prevention and fight against cancer disease. Students and staff could buy donation flowers on the campus for the first time.
The FME Campus Library became a partner of the charity. "A total of 198 flowers were sold. With regard to this year's success, we would like to join the fundraising next year again," assured the head of the library, Oldřiška Šepelová.
With each flower, the donors received a leaflet with information on disease prevention. This year's campaign topic was the prevention of cervical and testicular cancer.
Thank you for your donations!
