The President of the Republic, Miloš Zeman, signed the appointment decrees for a total of eighty-three new Czech professors. Among them are five experts from the Brno University of Technology. The decrees were handed over to the professors by the Minister of Education.
The title of professor now belongs to Pavel Novotný, who works at FME at the Department of Powertrain, Institute of Automotive Engineering. Professor Novotný focuses on structural and process engineering, for example, the vibrations and noise of vehicles or their drive units or research on turbochargers.
The other four newly appointed BUT professors are from the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
