A new model aircraft from the workshop of the Chicken Wings student team built especially for the Air Cargo Challenge flew to a beautiful fifth place. At the international competition, the students from FME managed to complete all the competition flights and in the starting field of 26 teams from different parts of the world, they were outperformed by only four more successful models.
After a two-year hiatus forced by the covid, the "chickens from the machine shop", as the team is familiarly called, could finally spread their wings. At the beginning of July in Munich they presented their new Black Swan aircraft, which we wrote about here.
But the competition season is not over for them, they are already preparing for the New Flying Competition in Hamburg in September, for which they are preparing another unique aircraft of their own design.
Congratulations and fingers crossed!
