The Summer School of Mechatronics was held again at the beginning of August. This year, due to the great interest in two dates. High school students had five days to create their own fully functional model of the "solar tracker" project.
On the very first day, they set about 3D modelling the components for the project in Fusion 360. The next day was in the spirit of electronics, as the students tried their hand at measuring some of the basic quantities and learned how to wire simple electrical components. The students learned how to wire circuits. The third and fourth days of summer school were an introduction to programming followed by working with Arduino. Students learned how to control their projects using simple scipt. On the last day, students focused on finishing their work. Each project was then tested using UR5. The creator of the most efficient "solar tracker" model was rewarded with a medal made in our lab.
Finally, we said goodbye to all the participants and gave them gift bags with promotional items and a t-shirt with the summer school theme as a souvenir.
