An introductory practical course into the world of metal 3D printing. You will learn how to economically design parts for engineering applications, prepare a model for printing and practically try out any operations that can be used to transform a printed part into the final part. In addition to new skills, you will also take home a finished part. The course is part of the project as a pilot action within DISTT project.
The course is intended primarily for bachelor's students, but master's and doctoral students can also participate.
Course content:
- Introduction to metal 3D printing
- Preparation of a 3D model for production
- Tour of laboratories with metal 3D printers
- Practical demonstration of transforming a print into a usable component
