The TU Brno Racing team, which connects students across BUT, officially unveiled this year's Dragon e2 monopost today. With Dragon e2 they will compete in the Formula Student series, where they will try to defend their position as the best Czech team and also improve their position in the world rankings. A charity auction was also held as part of the rollout.
On Friday, May 27, the guests of the rollout filled the auditorium at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. During the evening, the team presented this year's innovations in the construction of the car, and after 7 pm, the Dragon e2 was unveiled. This was followed by a traditional charity auction, in which the team donated five items related to the formula. BUT Rector Ladislav Janíček and FME Dean Jiří Hlinka also auctioned off their piece. The auction totaled CZK 37,500, which students donate to the Czech Red Cross.
The host of the evening was an FME graduate and long-time commentator of Formula 1 races Tomáš Richtr. The official rollout was followed by an unofficial part of the event, where guests could see the previous Dragon X and Dragon e1 monoposts or try piloting a car in one of the two simulators.
