Fundamentals of Design Methodology
FSI-GZ0 Acad. year: 2018/2019 Winter semester
The course makes students familiar with the terminology used in the design and construction of machines and technological units in international context or more precisly Czech – Germany context. Great attention is paid to a comparision of unit denotation by technical computation.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students will extent their knowledge of designing terminology and is prepared to participate in internation czech-germany teams.
Prerequisites
General knowledge of German language.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is taught in the form of lectures presenting the basic principles and theory of the given discipline. Presentation and defence of a semestral project. According to the possibility of teaching can be organized lectures for students by practitioners and excursions to companies focused on activities related to the course content.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Students must defend a semestral project on a given topic.
Aims
The aims of the course is get students ready for cooperation in internationals teams. Familirising students with based knowledge in international design terminology.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
The attendance at lectures is recommended.
