Learning outcomes of the course unit

The course provides knowledge from area of transmission mechanisms. Obtained knowledge creates conditions to self-contained solution construction project in next semesters.

Prerequisites

The student needs to have knowledge appropriate courses of theoretical basics of master study programme at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Technology, Brno

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures. Teaching is suplemented by practical laboratory work.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The credit is suspended by active participation in exercises and correctly elaborated acts. The exam checks the knowledge from lectures and exercises, consists of written and oral parts.

Aims

The course provides an overview of modern gearing systems of motor vehicles. Attention is oriented on theory, construction and employment.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Seminars are obligatory, checked by a teacher. The way of compensation of missed lessons (in justified cases) is solved individually with the course guarantee person.
