Basics of Electrotechnics

FSI-REN Acad. year: 2018/2019 Summer semester

Passive electronic components. Basic passive electronic circuits (especially filters). Basic semiconductor components (diode, bipolar transistor, unipolar transistor) – types, properties, linear models. Transistor in a linear regime (amplifier). Transistor in a switching mode. Basic principles of the inverter technique. Operational amplifiers – operation, properties, basic connections. Digital circuits – Boolean algebra, combination and sequential logic, logical circuits TTL and CMOS.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

An ability to design basic electronic circuits.

Prerequisites

The basic knowledges from the theoretical electroengineering, nad mathematical logic (Bool algebra). The mathematic knowledges on 1st year technical university lewel.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Teaching is suplemented by practical laboratory work.

Requirements for the classified accreditation:
Laboratory lessons and checking tests

Evaluation:
Semester test: 10point
Laboratory excercise: 25point
Final test: 65point

Aims

Students get basic knowledge about passive and active electronic components and about analogue and digital circuits.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance at practical training is obligatory.
