Additive Technologies
FSI-ZAT Acad. year: 2018/2019 Winter semester
3D tisk kovů a plastů je v současnosti oblastí intenzivního zájmů vědců i firem. Kurz seznamuje studenty s progresivní technologií 3D tisku kovových a plastových dílů (technologie FDM, SLM, SLS, SLA, atd.) prostřednictvím prakticky orientovaných cvičení s počítačovou podporou. V laboratorních cvičení studenti ověří teoretické znalosti z přenášek. Studenti získají praktické zkušenosti s dimenzováním a volbou tolerancí dílů mechanických převodů a systémem dimenzování součástí pro 3D tisk. Získají praktické zkušenosti s tvorbou součástí a sestav, adaptivitou, parametrizací, objemovým i plošným modelováním a tvorbou výkresové dokumentace v prostředí parametrického modeláře Solidworks.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students will be able to effectively design and realize parts using additive manufacturing systems ( "layer by layer"). Students can apply acquired experience during the solution of semester projects, theses and later in practice for development of new products. Knowledge of additive technologies incuding preparation and production of parts is in the Czech Republic unique and provides students advantage in labour market.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of CAD systems (CATIA, Creo Parametric, Rhinoceros, Inventor).
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures and software tools. Teaching is supplemented by laboratory work oriented to practical tests, measurement and data evaluation.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Course-unit credit is awarded on the following conditions: elaboration of semester project, submitting data in digital form. Examination: will be granted after successful completion of the test focused on gained theoretical knowledge.
Aims
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the desing process, manufacturing and parts production of 3D printing of polymers and metallic materials. The aim is achieved by practical verification of theoretical knowledge in computer-aided exercises and labs.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
Attendance at lectures is recommended; attendance at practicals and laboratory practicals is obligatory and checked by the lecturer. Compensation of missed lessons depends on the instructions of course supervisor.
