Course detail

Conventional Machine Tools and Forming Machines

FSI-GK0 Acad. year: 2019/2020 Summer semester

This subject completes and increases knowledge about design of production machines for those students, who would like to deal in development and design of production machines after finishing their study.

Language of instruction

Czech

Number of ECTS credits

4

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students taking part in this course obtain knowledge about the basic assembly groups in design of production machines

Prerequisites

The expected knowledge is from the field of machine parts and machine mechanisms as well as from the field of basic principles for building of production machines. The student should be orientated in the field of metal cutting technology as well as in the field of volume and planar forming technology. The student must know physical principles of measuring and evaluation of measured quantities.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Oral examination.

Aims

The target is to show application of the latest design methods and to indicate the limit possibilities of these machines in the field of their accuracy, efficiency and life.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Teaching is performed in dependence on the schedule at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the missed teaching and lessons can be compensated by means of individual consultations
