Semester Work

FSI-OSP Acad. year: 2019/2020 Winter semester

The course Semestral Work involves independently elaborate given task. Topics of works are based on current theoretical and operational problems in civil aviation, especially in branch of air traffic control, airport operators and air operators. Students have to demonstrate the orientation of the topic and suggest possible solutions. Students used to achieve the objectives of the scientific literature and proposed solutions should also consult with experts in the field. The guarantor provides checking the progress of semester work and counseling assistance of course.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

A deeper look at current issues solved civil aviation. Ability of communication with operation departments of the civil aviation. Orientation in the gained operational materials and publications.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through exercises which are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Credit is obtained after presentation of semester work. Student presents contents and results of his work. In the present work is assessed students' ability to work independently on a given topic and graphic skills.Rated are also posibilities and perspectives of continuation of the solution.

Aims

Checking of the students ability to self working in the field of actual civil air transport operation and technical problems in the Czech Republic.
Focus to the obtaining, processing and using of the operation information and available publications.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Exercises proceed in the consulting form. Durinf semester there are two required presentations of materials for diploma work.

At least 60% attendance at presentations is required. The student's assessment is based on his / her work. In particular, the ability to work with materials and their own contribution to the solved subject is assessed.
