Term Thesis B-VSY
FSI-GSO Acad. year: 2019/2020 Summer semester
The course follows up on the knowledge obtained during the winter semester. It enhances the ability of students to do independent creative work by the semestral project with individual assignment – a design case study from the current production technology practice.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
The student will learn the basic rules of teamwork with other students on the assigned tasks. He will gain experience in solving the research and technical case study and writing the technical report using computer support.
Prerequisites
PC-skills including basic text and table editors and CAD modeller required.

Processing of semestral work under professional guidance.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
The graded course-unit credit requirements:
1. Attendance at seminars.
2. Regular checks of the assignments fulfilment.
3. Presentation of the completed semestral work – drawings and text documentation.
Aims
The aim of the subject is to teach the students independent creative design activities in the field of production technology. The graduate will gain experience with an individual comprehensive solution of the assigned case study, including an appropriate formal method of its preparation.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
The attendance at exercises is obligatory.
Absences may be compensated based on the agreement with the teacher.
