Year-class Project

FSI-KRR Acad. year: 2020/2021 Winter semester

The term project provides students with practical knowledge of calculation in the field of process industry. Students make a design of equipment/units operations and process. They can also use standards and regulations to achieve reliable and safe operations.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Based on individual task and setting students are made familiar with working with simulation and other computer codes.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of the process engineering and use of computing programs.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through exercises which are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Attendance at seminars of a term project, fulfilment the content and extent requirements of an idividual assignment. Producing a technical report including documentation.

Aims

The aim of the course is to apply the obtained knowledge and theoretical background on practical equipment or a process.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Seminars are obligatory, checked by a teacher. The form of compensation of missed lessons is solved individually with the teacher.
