Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students obtain knowledge necessary for evaluation of technological methods, design from technology point of view and for technology planning of joining, casting, machining, plexiglass forming, surface treatment and assembly.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the structure, phase transformations and properties of metal structural materials. Basic technological principles and methods of materials processing – welding, brazing, casting, machining.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures. Teaching is suplemented by practical laboratory work.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Attendance at seminars and completing all papers is necessary for the course unit credit award. Final oral examination consists of two parts: 1. A practical task 2.Two theoretical questions
Aims
The objective of the course Aircraft Manufacture II is to inform of special technology methods used in advanced aircraft structures in the scope necessary for aircraft designers.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
Attendance at seminars is compulsory. In the case of legitimate absence, student are required to work out an alternative individual assignment. Continuous checking is done during seminars.
