Learning outcomes of the course unit
Advanced knoledge about safety engineering and loss prevention domain, application of the fundamental methods and methodics of safety engineering, environmental and economical aspects of safety enginnering,
Prerequisites
The prerequisite to study this subject is knowledge of the basic principles of mathematics, physics and thermodynamics.
The course is intended for students who have completed basic security engineering courses during their studies.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is taught through consultations explaining the advanced principles and methods of the discipline.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Individual solution of case studies, oral exam.
Aims
Main goal – understaning of the loss prevention philosophy. Major industrial accidents in the all world represent consequences of human errors on different level of management.
This object/course uncovers a set of todays methos for hazard identification and risk assessment in the process and related industries.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
The subject consists ofconsultations, the students’ attendance shall be checked.
