Technical English Exam
FSI-TEN3 Acad. year: 2021/2022 Summer semester
The exam tests the knowledge, professional vocabulary and skills acquired in previous study. It corresponds to B2 level according to the "Common European Framework of Reference: Learning, Teaching, Assessment" set by the Council of Europe.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
Can understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, explain and present various topics, explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options. The scope corresponds to the Upper-Intermediate level and the content of the courses TEN1 and TEN2 (see the courses documentation).
Prerequisites
Knowledge of Upper-Intermediate level and professional vocabulary learnt in the courses TEN1 and TEN2 is regarded as a minimum to pass the exam.

Separately registered exam following previous language lessons.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
The exam has a written and an oral part and tests English at B2 level. The written part focuses on grammar and technical vocabulary. The oral part tests fluency, pronunciation and ability to use professional vocabulary and grammar covered in the compulsory literature. In both parts, students are required to collect at least 50% of the points.
Aims
The aim of the examination is to prove student's knowledge, skills and professional vocabulary. He/she is expected to use the language as an independent user.
