Diploma Seminar (M-IMB)
FSI-RD8 Acad. year: 2021/2022 Summer semester
This course should help students to elaborate and to present their diploma projects at a high professional level. They are introduced to the methodology and technology of scientific research, to the realization of literature retrievals, to the content-bearing and formal requirements of a diploma project. Principal ethical features of scientific work and of oral and written presentations are overviewed. Students are warned of substantial content-bearing mistakes, which frequently occur in diploma projects. The way of presenting a diploma project is shown. The title and content of everybody's own diploma project are consulted with each of the students.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students get information about a systematic approach to the diploma project realization, to its content, structural and formal sides. The way of diploma project presentation.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of problems concerning the individual diploma project.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is taught through exercises which are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Individual interview with every student about his own diploma project.
Aims
The aim is to increase the standard of diploma projects upon the systematic level.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
Presence in seminars is required and recorded.
