Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students acquire the knowledge necessary for evaluation of technological methods, design from technology point of view and for technology planning of heat treatment, forming, composite manufacture and joining.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of the structure, phase transformations and properties of metal structural materials. Basic technological principles and methods of materials processing – heat treatment, forming.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures. Teaching is suplemented by practical laboratory work.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Condition for granting the credit is 90% attendance at seminars. It is also necessary to submit completed and sophisticated computational exercises. Obtaining the credit is a condition for admission to the exam. The exam is written.

Aims

The objective of the course Aircraft Manufacture I is to inform of aircraft manufacture specific attributes and methods and procedures, which are necessary for design specialists.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance at seminars is compulsory. In the case of legitimate absence, students are required to work out an alternative individual assignment. Continuous checking is done during seminars.
