Czech Language - Conversation 1

The course is an introductory conversational course of Czech language for foreigners. It is offered to international students who want to acquaint themselves with the basics of Czech language and practise elementary communication skills needed for basic conversational purposes.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

A student who successfully passes the course can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases. He/she can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Prerequisites

The course is intended for beginners.

Language instruction as an extension of basic professional curriculum.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Students' work is systematically checked by the teacher. The course is concluded with final revision.

Aims

The aim of the course is to make international students familiar with the basics of Czech language needed for elementary communication focusing on basic conversational needs.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Students are requested to attend the seminars actively and work out all assigned tasks.
