Aims
The course objective is to make students familiar with fundamental properties of solid particles, shape of particles, specific area, sphericity, porosity and stress analysis as well as classification and sizing of granular material,,crushing, grinding and milling of particles.
Agglomeration. Short distance transport. Mixing, dosing and storage of granular material. Fundamental principles of plant units and equipment.
Designing main dimension of equipment.
Fundamental properties of loose materials. Some raw materials and products are in loose and granular form. Fundamental principles of machines used for working loose material. Acquired knowledge can be used for calculation of main dimensions of equipment used in such plants.
