Design of Pump Stations and Hydropower Plants

FSI-MCS Acad. year: 2023/2024 Winter semester

Hydraulic power plants design – the basics of the water power is presented as to range, scope, technologies, structure, operation, control, measurements and economy of the plants.
The projecting of pumping station is aimed to determine of suitable pumps for pumping station.

Aims

In the Projecting of pumping stations and water dams will students workiing on computations of water roads to water turbines, pressures and pressureless, the computations of weirs, compensatory rooms, basic dimensions of engine house of water power station, flow in stream bed with free water level. Designs of turbines in flow water power station from curve of head and discharge for giving locality from known characteristic of the turbine, input flow objects, stock computations for river flow, and about model similarity in models of dams and spillways.
Knowledge of theory, simulation methods, of the basic approach to design, technology and operation of the hydraulic power plants. Knowledge of experimental method.
