The course is intended to teach German as a foreign language at general level. Also dealt with is the language for specific technical purposes. It is focused on practical, everyday communication for the international workplace.

The course N6 is intended for intermediate students at min level A2 CEFR. It doesn’t follow up on the course N5.
Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended the seminars actively, worked out assigned tasks and passed a credit test. 60% points at the credit test as minimum.
The examination at level B1 CEFR consists of a written and oral part. The written part of the examination tests listening and reading comprehension, simple written expression, grammar and vocabulary of general language. The oral part of the examination has a form of discussion held on various everyday topics.
Attendance at seminars is systematically checked by the teacher. Students are allowed to miss two seminars. As long as the number of missed seminars is higher, additional condition may be set up by the teacher in justified cases in order to meet the course-unit credit requirements.
Aims
The aim of the course is to equip students for real-life tasks, such as describing problems or giving instructions, that arise in a wide range of technical occupations.
Students will be able to communicate in more difficult situations using relevant language means.
Students will be made familiar with general vocabulary for the workplace, as well as grammar structures for everyday communication at intermediate level. Students will acquire the language corresponding to the level B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
