Course detail
Mechatronic Systems on Vehicles
FSI-RMF Acad. year: 2023/2024 Summer semester
The course of Mechatronic Systems on Vehicles II makes students familiar with advanced electromechanical, electric, electronic and control systems of these machines and their mutual interactions. It is concerned with vehicle engine control systems, passive and active safety systems, ride comfort systems, security systems, information, communication and navigation systems and The On-Board Diagnostic (EOBD) system.
Language of instruction
Czech
Number of ECTS credits

Supervisor
Entry knowledge
Fundamentals of Dynamics Mechanisms, Fundamental of Measurement Non-Electric Quantities, Fundamentals Properties of Electric Motors, Fundamentals of Power Electronic, Fundamentals of Diagnostics, Principles of Data Processing and Transfer.
Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
The graded course-unit credit award is conditioned by handing over an individual work concerning a pre-set topic and passing the test of presented topics. The resulting evaluation is set according to the Study and Examination Rules of the Technical University. Students can gain the points for 2 parts: 1. Written test of presented topics, 0-50 points. 2. Quality of individual assignment 0-50 points.
The controlled lesson is an exercise. Exercises are required. The attendance at exercises is recorded and the level of knowledge is tested. Missed lessons are compensated by home assignments related to the relevant topic. A teacher evaluates the quality of the assignment.
Aims
The aim of the course of Mechatronic Systems on Vehicles I is to make students acquainted with the advanced mechatronic systems on vehicles. The task of the course is for students to acquire knowledge on such level so that they are able to apply the above stated equipment and its components in their professions and will have a clear idea of what producers offer on the market.
The course of Mechatronic Systems on Vehicles II enables students to learn of systems meant bellow and their most important components and to acquire practical skills in servicing and diagnostics of simple faults of those systems.
