Course detail
Theory and Construction of Forming Machines
FSI-9TST Acad. year: 2023/2024 Winter semester
The course provides a complex review of the construction and applications of different kinds of forming machines, about their drives, dynamics, automatization, robotization and safety of work in forming processes.
Language of instruction
Czech
Supervisor
Entry knowledge
Complex and high-quality engineering knowledge on the parts of machines and on construction of technical products.
Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
No credit; students must produce a written work at least 2 weeks before the exam. The exam is in oral form, evaluation of the written work represents 50% of the final classification.
Student’s work is checked by an exam constituting of an oral part and the defense of a written seminar work. Missed lessons can by substituted by self-study with the use of study materials (literature) provided by the course guarantee.
Aims
The objective of the course is to familiarize the PhD students with the knowledge from the field of theory and construction of forming machines.
Students acquire a deep insight into the key factors influencing the construction of different kinds of forming machines and learn to apply them within the scope of their dissertation work.
