Course detail
Computer Aided Design
FSI-QN0-A Acad. year: 2024/2025 Summer semester
The course allows you to obtain all necessary information base for managing the preparation of complex FE models in MSC APEX. Students will learn the optimal way to create geometric models for the shell and beam structures. In addition, the student learns on the basis of geometric patterns to create FE model.

Entry knowledge
Basic knowledge of the CAD. Basic knowledge of the FEM.
Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
To get a graded course-unit credit students are required to participate actively in seminars and to work out the projects assigned to them.
Course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended the exercises actively and worked out assigned projects. Presence in the exercises is obligatory.
Aims
The aim is to introduce students to a specific approach to modeling of shell and beam FEM models.
Graduates of the course can work within MSC APEX. It is also able to choose the best modeling procedure according to the restrictions and rules.
