Numerical Simulation of Foundry Processes

FSI-9NSS Acad. year: 2025/2026 Both semester

The course provides students with new trends in computer support of foundry technology. An accent is given on numerical simulation of foundry processes and practical applications.
Course deal with: 3D casting design, definition of boundary and initial conditions, defect prediction, thermo-mechanical calculations. The students will acquire last trends in a field of micro-modelling, single crystal modelling and inverse modelling.
