Original title in Czech: Technika prostředíFSIAbbreviation: M-TEPAcad. year: 2019/2020
Programme: Mechanical Engineering
Length of Study: 2 years
Accredited from: 1.9.2003Accredited until: 31.12.2020
Profile
Graduates of this program will gain deep knowledge of the design, development and testing of the technical equipment for environment control. These are systems for micro-climate control inside the residential or working environment, in particular ventilation, air-conditioning and heating devices including the heat supply systems. The students will also gain knowledge of energy sources and its conversion and its environmental impact. They will deeper the knowledge of basic principles and mechanisms used in individual devices (heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, fluid flow, measurements, automation and control, acoustics and noise etc.). The basic knowledge of the graduate includes mastering of modern computer modelling methods (CFD), computer aided design as well as experimental methods and measurement. The gained knowledge will prove the graduates to be of high value for the market.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples
The graduates would find career in design offices and companies working in fields of heating, ventilation and air conditioning system design, in companies producing and servicing the environment controlling devices and in institutions running these systems. The graduates will find career also in the fields of design and control of the heat supply, design and control of the environment protection as well as in environment protection institutions. Graduates may also use the acquired knowledge in their own enterprises.
The graduates may continue in internal or combined form of doctoral program.
