By studying the major, you will gain a deep understanding of applied mathematics and computer science, and pursue engineering and other mathematical disciplines whose methods are used to solve challenging problems in engineering practice. You will gain knowledge of modern information technology and learn to solve a variety of engineering problems using computing effectively. In your diploma thesis, you will independently solve an assigned technical problem of a mathematical nature or a general problem of applied mathematics With your MSc, you will find employment in leading positions in research teams or in company management. Some of you may be interested in public administration, banking, insurance or various areas of education. Or you may be so captivated by the field that you pursue a PhD in Applied Mathematics.
