The research and development of porous bioceramic structures at the Department of Ceramics and Polymers is aligned with the needs of modern medicine and aims to address specific problems in hard tissue replacement in the human body. Cutting-edge approaches and methods for preparing ceramics, including additive manufacturing, are employed to design and create customized bioceramic structures with optimized biological and mechanical properties suitable for given applications. A comprehensive characterization of the structure and properties of the prepared materials is a crucial aspect of the process. The works have been done in cooperation with working places and laboratories of Masaryk University Brno.
