The research group concentrates on the development of modern approaches in the field of technical multiparametric diagnostics, in connection with this also on the development of new methods and approaches in maintenance. The team uses meta-modelling, artificial intelligence, machine learning, simulation and real-time optimization.

Activities are specifically focused on
Development of a multiparametric approach in technical diagnostics, development of new diagnostic methods, metrology of diagnostic quantities, off-line and on-line measurements in industrial practice, predictive maintenance, diagnostic signal processing and properties, sensorics, digital twin, neural networks, fuzzy systems, expert systems, virtual and augmented reality, data analytics and edge computing in the mentioned areas.
Cooperation takes place with partners in the public and private sectors, e.g. Siemens, s.r.o., ABB, s.r.o., Bosch Diesel s.r.o., etc. Cooperation will also be implemented with companies that will be part of the submitted projects.
