A nine-member delegation from the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the Technical University of Vienna, led by Dean Christian Bauer, visited the FME on Monday 26 June. Representatives of the Austrian university came to visit their existing partners on the Czech side, but also to establish new collaborations in science and research or international mobility of students and staff.
The meeting was also attended by researchers from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering BUT, whose expertise matched that of the Austrian guests. During the discussion, this opened up possibilities for further cooperation in the fields of tribology, biomechanics, aerospace research, fluid engineering or production machines and systems.
Accompanied by FME Dean Jiří Hlinka, the guests also visited several laboratories, in particular the Fluid Engineering Laboratory, the Climate Chamber, where they were also introduced to the Škoda Enyaq "mobile laboratory", and the possibilities of metal 3D printing were demonstrated by colleagues from the Institute of Machine and Industrial Design.
