Original abstract
The present paper discusses the technology of Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), which falls into the group of additive technologies of Rapid Prototyping (RP). The major objective is a detailed description of DMLS, pointing out the benefits it offers and its application in practice. The practical part describes the production and economic comparison of several prototype parts that were designed for the actual testing in the automotive industry.

Příspěvek pojednává o technologii Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), která spadá do souboru aditivních technologií Rapid Prototyping (RP). Hlavním cílem je zejména podrobný popis aditivní technologie DMLS, poukázání na výhody, které nabízí a její využití v praxi. Praktická část popisuje výrobu a ekonomické porovnání několika prototypových dílů, které byly určeny pro reálné testování v automobilovém průmyslu.
