Original abstract

We present the main results of our joint scientific theoretical project with the Czech Science Foundation (2010-2013) Physics and advanced simulations of photonic and plasmonic structures. We describe the basics of our in-house methods and numerical tools for the analysis of such structures, developed independently within the scope of the project, together with their mutual comparison. Selected results of modelling of various subwavelength structure designs will be presented and discussed, together with a new result based on our recent investigation of the plasmon-soliton interaction.

Czech abstract

Prezentujeme hlavní výsledky našeho společného teoretického projektu "Fyzika a pokročilé simulace fotonických a plazmonických struktur" (GAČR, 2010-2013). Popisujeme základy numerických metod, které umožňují simulaci takových struktur a které byly nezávisle vyvinuty v rámci projektu. Je uvedeno vzájemné srovnání metod. Uvádíme a diskutujeme vybrané výsledky modelování některých zajímavých struktur, např. prezentujeme nové výsledky, které se týkají interakce mezi solitonem a povrchovým plazmonem.
