Original abstract
The paper deals with possibility of measuring the velocity of object from series of images which show the object in motion in direction towards the observer. To this purpose will be used mathematical tools Fourier transform and phase correlation. This system of velocity measurement would be possible to apply to any moving object. We have focused in this work on measuring velocity of vehicle because of simple veri cation of computation.

Článek pojednává o inovativní metodě měření rychlosti pohybujících se dopravních prostředků pomocí metod zpracování obrazu, resp. s využitím Fourierovy transformace a fázové korelace. Výhodou oproti standardním řešením je možnost využít navrženou metodu pro pohybující se měřící zařízení. Dosažené výsledky byly prakticky verifikovány.
