Original abstract
In this paper we present a quasi-steady approach to modelling the influence of moving vehicles on flow field and pollutants dispersion in a street canyon. This is a combination of Eulerian and Lagrangean approach and contains solution of additional sources to momentum equations. Also presented a modification of the standard k-e model of turbulence. The modification is based on a source term in the kinetic energy equation. Three different modification of the equation for turbulence induced by moving cars were tested. In this contribution we present results, which we obtained by solving turbulent flow field and pollutants distribution in the street canyon. Several different cases are presented. Particular cases differ in traffic density, speed of cars, number of traffic lanes and traffic direction. The results provide values of flow rate entrained into and out of the street canyon and velocity and pollutant concentration distribution in the street canyon.
