Original abstract
The numerical model of the temperature field of solidifying castings aims to achive two general goals: directed solidification and optimization of the technology of casting together with the preservation of optimum utility properties of the product. The speed of cooling during solidification and cooling in the mould is a significant quantity influencing the formation of the structure.

Numerický model teplotního pole tuhnoucího odlitku umožňuje dosáhnout dvou cílů: řízeného tuhnutí a optimalizace technologie odlévání současně se zachováním optimálních užitkových vlastností produktu. Rychlost chlazení během tuhnutí a chlazení ve formě je významným činitelem ovlivňujícím tvorbu struktury.
