This document provides a general definition of tasks that can assist civil manufactures in the validation and certification of SHM systems to aircraft maintenance. The methodology maintains harmony with existing applicable regulations and guidelines with specific extensions and changes pertaining to SHM techniques where necessary. The goal is to maintain consistency with existing regulation, standards and widely accepted procedures.
