Original abstract
A stereo sound card and loudspeakers possess every PC. Applying the user matched software we are able relatively easy generate the sounds which increase the meaningfulness and memorability of the numerical output of our simulations. This process is particularly inherent for demonstration of the superposition of the oscillations, interference of the waves or numerical solution of the differential equation of harmonic, inharmonic, dumped or forced oscillations. In our contribution we will present Mathcad as a tabular programming environment for this type of experiments. Using one loudspeaker we can generate the sounds representing the superposition of oscillations with different frequency, amplitude or phase. Using two loudspeakers in stereo mode we can demonstrate the interference of the waves.
Czech abstract
Zvuková karta s možností přehrávání stereo zvukových souborů patří mezi základní komponenty každého PC. Použijeme-li vhodné programové prostředí, pak můžeme poměrně snadno ozvučit výsledky numerických simulací. Takový postup zlepšuje názornost a srozumitelnost výsledků numerických řešení diferenciálních rovnic pro harmonické, neharmonické, tlumené a vynucené kmity. V našem příspěvku je dokumentováno, že vhodným programovým prostředím pro takový druh experimentů je Matcad.
