Original abstract

Stochastic programming approach is applied to a problem concerning an optimal design of beam dimensions and its reliability. The corresponding mathematical model involves an ODE-type constraint, an uncertain parameter related to the material characteristics and one individual chance constraint. A reformulation of a nonlinear chance constrained stochastic program by an appropriate penalty function is considered. The numerical study is presented. An a posteriori check of reliability of the beam is made using simulation techniques in Probabilistic Design System in ANSYS.

Czech abstract

Stochastická optimalizace je použita na úlohu týkající se optimálního návrhu rozměrů nosníku a jeho spolehlivosti. Odpovídající matematický model zahrnuje ODR omezení, náhodné modul pružnosti a jedno pravděpodobnostní omezení. Pro řešení nelineární stochastické úlohy s pravděpodobnostním omezením je použita reformulace pomocí vhodné penalizační funkce. Je provedeno posouzení spolehlivosti nosníku pomocí simulačních metod v modulu Probabilistic Design System programu ANSYS.
