Original abstract

Taylor test have been performed on specimens of ten metallic materials. The different one-dimensional models have been used. In the next step the finite element code LS DYNA has been used in order to deduce the parameters in the Johnson-Cook constitutive equations. Using of the mutual comparison of the computed specimen profile with experimental one led to the explanation of the influence of the parameters mentioned above on the deformation behaviour determined by the computation. This procedure also made possible to choose the constitutive equation which represents the optimum estimation of material behaviour at high strain rates.
