Original abstract
The influence of stress applied perpendicularly to a slip plane during the shear deformation of a crystal on the ideal shear strength was studied for <110>{111} and <112>{111} slip systems from first principles. Previous empirical studies for Lennard-Jones crystal suggested nearly linear dependence of the shear strength on the normal tensile and compressive loading. Our ab initio results verified the linear dependence for 6 fcc metals.
Czech abstract
Vliv napětí působícího kolmo ke skluzové rovině v průběhu smykové deformace krystalu na teoretickou smykovou pevnost byl studován pro skluzové systémy <110>{111} a <112>{111} z prvních principů. Předchozí empirické studie pro Lennardův-Jonesův krystal naznačovaly téměř lineární závislost smykové pevnosti na normálovém tahovém a tlakovém zatížení. Naše ab initio výsledky potvrzují tuto lineární závislost pro 6 fcc kovů.
