Original abstract

This contribution deals with the use of the Internet with the aim to support the studies at the Brno University of Technology, the Czech Republic. Te paper contents the main principles of the process of implementation Internet based executive system of the faculty. There is shown taht the Intranet use can not only help so save the overgead costs but also to improve the mutual communication. Using the Intranet, both tutors and lecturers start to see processes in a broader context. After some initial difficulties consisting in overcoming barriers, the new way of communication is accepted by majority of tutors, lecturers as well as students. Since this moment the further development and use of the inforamtion system goes on easier and more smoothly and the synergic effects starts to be visible.
