Original abstract
Highly porous brittle materials form a unique group with a large ratio of surface to the volume of the material. The application of these materials is once applications where light, and, at the same time, strong, structures are needed. The paper is focused on two main problems. The first part describes the results of a tensile test development on highly porous materials known as very complicated to perform. The second part of the paper is dedicated to the modelling of the porous structure using finite element calculations. The image processing principle of micro computer tomography device data is described. In order to easily create finite element method models the software was developed. A complete algorithm of finite element model formation is also included. Commercially available ceramic foam 85%Al2O3-14%SiO2-1%MgO was used experiment part of the paper.
Czech abstract
Vysoce porézní křehké materiály tvoří unikátní skupinu materiálů s velkým poměrem povrchu vůči objemu. Použití tohoto typu materiálů má význam v aplikacích, kde je nutné mít lehké a zároveň pevné struktury. Komerčně dostupný typ keramické pěny 85% Al2O3-14% SiO2-1% MgO byl analyzován. Tato kapitola je zaměřena na dvě hlavní oblasti řešení – experimentální a výpočtovou. První část popisuje výsledky tahové zkoušky vysoce porézních materiálů. Druhá část práce je věnována modelování těchto struktur pomocí metody konečných prvků a je také popsána analýza obrazu na základě principu zpracování počítačových dat z microCT zařízení.
