The leakage of drinking water is still a big problem for waterworks utolities. Especially in the Czech Republic where the production of water and specific water consumption per capita per day decreases during last years more then 35 percent. The paper describes the pergormance indicators could be used as more competitive and the possible methods how to reduce the leakage.
