Course detail
Technology II
FSI-5TE Acad. year: 2019/2020 Winter semester
The overall outlook of physical and metalurgical basis of machinery technologies: foundry work, flat and solid forming, welding, brazing and parting of materials. It contains physical metalurgical basis of presented technologies. The basic chapters in foundry work: the casting’s production technology, production of casting moulds and models, forming mixtures, metallurgy of steel, grey-iron and non-ferrous metals’ alloys. In the forming technology the basic laws of plastic deformation, the basic forming operations when producing metallurgical raw products, the forming in machinery-flat[cutting, bending and drawing of iron], the cold solid forming[free and die forging]. The basic welding methods-flame welding, electric arc welding and other special methods.
