Programme: Mechanical Engineering
Length of Study: 2 years
Accredited from: 1.9.2003Accredited until: 31.12.2020
Profile
The study in the field of foundry technology is oriented towards the education of foundry technologists and metallurgists, research workers, quality and foundry managers.
The foundry graduates will obtain theoretical and practical knowledge of the foundry engineering This knowledge is complemented with information about the properties of moulding materials, design and application of foundry machines and equipment. The student will be familiar with processes of statistical quality control, and equipped for the creation and application of the software used in foundry plants, and for computer support of technologies.
Graduates in foundry technology are well prepared to creatively apply their knowledge in the area of the production of castings of all types and all kinds of materials and also managerial skills.
Graduates with profound theoretical foundations have a good chance to continue in PhD studies.
