Admission Procedure
These required documents must be sent to the address of FME – deadline for non EU applicants in on May 15, 2025, deadline for applicants from EU is on August 17, 2025:
- To start bachelor's degree program is required to send the originals of certified translation copy of the secondary school diploma.
- To start master's degree program is required to send the originals of certified translation copy of the university bachelor diploma and the diploma supplement.
- Signed request form Assessment of foreign education.
- Another condition for admission to study is to achieve knowledge of English at the level of at least B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). Applicant provides an international certificate as Cambridge B1 Preliminary, Cambridge B2 First, EILTS level 5 or 6, TOEFL 42–71 or 72–94.
The entrance exam will take place on March 23, 2025 and consists of Mathematics and Physics to Bachelor's degree programmes and of Mathematics, Physics and Technical Mechanics to follow-up Master's degree programmes. It may be waived at the applicant's request after meeting one of the following conditions: the applicant ranked among the top 50 % (see https://www.scioexams.com) in the 2025 national comparative examination in General Study Prerequisites or in Mathematics. Details in the Dean's guideline no. 8/2024.

Tuition Fees, Scholarships, Living Expenses
Tuition fees are EUR 3 000 per academic year and are to be paid into the bank account of the FME after enrollment. Student will receive Request for payment.
Students with excellent study results are awarded a scholarship for study results in the range CZK 1 000 – CZK 3 000 (EUR 40 – EUR 120) per month as early as in the second year of the study.
The accommodation scholarship is CZK 550 (EUR 20) per month.
The monthly cost of living is approx. EUR 500. Prices: lunch at university canteen from CZK 55 (EUR 2), pizza at a restaurant CZK 130 (EUR 5), loaf of bread CZK 25 (EUR 0.90), cinema ticket from CZK 170 (EUR 6.70).
Enrollment
The enrollment instruction will be written in the Decision on admission to study.
Accommodation
Students can apply for accommodation in BUT dormitories. The online request for the academic year 2025/26 will be open from April. Students who have to apply for a visa are strongly encouraged to arrange for their accommodation well in advance
